Another one of my mom’s recipes. ya~~~~ When my family lived in the peaceful country side because of my father’s job (He is a teacher.), my mom used to make a lunch box and deliver it to him at school. In the morning, I woke up with this awesome smell. “Wow, mom is cooking meat balls for dad’s lunch box. @,@” I sat next to her and enjoyed watching her cooking. Of course, I could taste this yummy food before my father tried it..hehe My father also loved this food. This was a good memory for me. Do you also have any special memories from your mom’s wonderful food?

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups (14 oz) Ground Beef
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cooking Wine
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Korean Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Egg

Yield: About 25 Meatballs

  1. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of ground beef, 2 tbsp of minced garlic, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of cooking wine, 1/2 tsp of soy sauce, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper.
  2. Mix well and set it aside for 10 minutes.

Take a spoon of beef, and make a small ball.

  1. On a plate, prepare 1/4 cup of flour.
  2. Cover the meat balls with the flour.

Prepare 1/2 cup of bread crumbs and 1 egg. (I recommend you to use Korean or Japanese bread crumbs for this recipe, since American bread crumbs are different.)

  1. Cover the meat balls with the mixed egg.
  2. Then cover them with bread crumbs. Firmly cover them several times so they can be more crispy.

Deep fry the meat balls until they become golden brown.
Since it’s meat, cut a meat ball in half and check to see if it is cooked.

For me, was cooked enough.

This recipe will be salty enough to eat without any other sauce, but if you want, you can dip this in ketchup or honey mustard sauce. We usually eat them just plain. Enjoy !!!! =D
