Almond Cookies

One day, I was looking for a simple dessert to make. I found this almond cookies recipe. I thought it’s pretty simple, so I didn’t expect much. Wow, it was big hit!!! It’s always good to find a good recipe by accident – like finding treasure in a cave. If you love to cook, you will understand what I’m saying… hehe … So I hope when you try a recipe from my blog, you can get that same feeling. haha … anyway … Since we enjoyed eating this cookies, I wanted to share it with you. My husband and in-laws liked them. My mother-in-law especially liked them. I hope you can try this someday.

Taco Salad

Taco salad is a favorite food of mine that I learned to make from my mother in law. Homemade tortillas, taco seasoned beef, beans, lettuce, onions, cheese, and the french salad dressing. Oh, the combination of those flavors is awesome. @.@ Yesterday, we ate this for supper, and it was very delicious, as always. I guessed somebody might want the recipe for this food, so I post pictures with recipe. Enjoy!

Chicken Salad Sandwich

With the leftover chicken from DakJuk, we made chicken salad. I’m still learning how to make American food, so this time, I prepared everything and my husband made it. Now, I can remember the right taste, and maybe I can make it by myself next time. It was very delicious. Thank you, honey~~~ If you have left over chicken like me, why don’t you try to make chicken salad?

Pickled eggs are one of my favorite American foods. When I tried this for the first time, I thought that ‘Wow boy~~ this is GOOD.’ :) I like hard boiled eggs and sweet & sour flavors, so it is like a perfect food for me. As you know, beets, eggs, and vinegar are healthy. Healthy and yummy~~ I highly recommend this. Since I liked it so much, I’ve made it several times, and at the end my husband said “No more please~~~” hehe. Oops, my poor honey. I can eat them more often though. My mother-in-law gave me a good recipe for pickled eggs, and I learned how to make them from her. So I want to share this delicious healthy food with you. ;)

Ingredients:

  • 1½ Dozen Eggs
  • 2 Cans Beets
  • 3½ Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Cups Sugar

Directions:

  1. Boil the eggs in water with a little salt and vinegar.
  2. Boil the juice from the beet cans, vinegar, and sugar together.
  3. Then remove the shells while the eggs are still hot.
  4. Put the eggs on the bottom of a large glass jar.
Cover the eggs with the beets.

  5. Pour the juice on top of everything while it is still hot.
  6. Refrigerate for about five days before serving.

My mother-in-law baked delicious Christmas cookies: Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip, Pecan Tassie, and Mexican Wedding Cake. It was great because I could learn how to make them from her and have fun. Everything tasted good. I said I don’t like sweet things in my introduction, but oops, I ate the cookies again and again until we finished the tin of cookies in just 2 days. Either my taste is changing or my mother-in-law’s cookies are too good. hehe ;) We got cookies from her with that cute cookie tin. Thanks Mom!! Wow, in only 2 days, its Christmas. I hope everyone will have a great holiday with their family and friends. I also hope people enjoy not only this holiday season, but also remember the true meaning of Christmas and poor people around us. Merry Christmas!!! :D
