Hi Aeri, I love your recipe! I’ve been to the US for a year and had a lot of korean friends. They brought me to korean restaurants and I loved it…now since I’m back, I miss the food sooo much! Take care, Kim
Hi Kim,
^^ Nice to meet you. Aha, you can make your own Korean dishes with my recipes at home..how about that ?? hehe.. thanks
I just recently came across your site. I’m an American, yet not Korean. My view towards life and people in general is that we’re all made by God, we’re all in this earth together, breathing the same air and for the most part can share similarities with one another about many of life’s experiences. Plus, I get excited when it comes to learning good things from other people, with hope that I too can impart some wisdom along the way. I also dislike wiping dust, too; and the too sweet desserts, ugh. Thank you for creating this site! Have a Blessed Family Day!
Hi Missy,
Hope to see you more often. God bless you …

hi from canada, i love korean culture and language. So i learned to read hangul and been to korea a few times. However its a plus, now that i can whip up some Korean dishes. I learned how to make Dak-dori-tang from a friend of mine, and some of my korean friends were surprised that as it tasted fairly close to what they get at home. but now i can diversify with all the recipes on your blog.
Thanks for sharing. Cheers

Hi Aeri!

I’ve tried many of your recipes during my university life the last 2 years, and they all came out beautifully!
I will be trying to make SamGyeTang for the first time for my family and friends tomorrow. Hope it goes well… ^^
hi Michael K,
Wow, Nice to meet you !!! I also hope that your samgyetang turns out great, and everybody enjoy it. hehe.
Thanks for your comment. I hope to see you again. ^^ Have a great weekend.
Hi Aeri – I’m really enjoying your website and plan to try some of your recipes. Please tell me what kimbap is. And, is cuttlefish an actual fish??
I missed you at Meals on Wheels today!Good luck with Bryson’s birthday!! Do you remember what I told you the advise my mother gave me??
Hi Ethel,
I really enjoyed working with you on Meals on Wheels..hope I can go back there soon again.. hehe
WOW~~~~ I’m very happy to see you on my blog. hehe.. Yes, I missed you yesterday too. I heard that three of you finished it… GOOD JOB !!!
About your questions, kimbap is… Korean version of sushi.. have you ever tried sushi before?? the seasoning(flavor) for rice is different…and the ingredients are different too..but.. the idea that you roll your cooked rice and other vegetables with dried seaweed is same with sushi. cuttlefish..oops.. sorry but it’s not a fish..it’s a kind of dried squid.. hehe..I don’t know why they call it fish. anyway.. I want to recommend you try “Korean BBQ , BulGoGi” or Korean pancakes..to be safe to try new food..hehe
Thanks again for your comment. Yes, I remember your advice.. “Don’t yell when the baby comes out.. bring the energy inside…”right ?? I will keep it in my mind. Have a great weekend.

Nice to meet you !! I can see you know about Korea.
hi 언니,
this is 혜수. Do you by any chance know how to make 김말이? I think that’s what its called. I love those and have been wanting to make them for my little brother Sean (he just turned four..늣둥이랍니다) He’s very picky with food, doesn’t really eat korean food nor american food..so I wanna try giving him some of that since I like them. You can email me whenever if you’d like. My email is: ham.hs89@gmail.com
Hi, hamhs (혜수)
p.s That’s a very sweet idea that you want to cook some Korean food for your 막둥이.
김말이 ?? you mean.. rolled fried egg with dried seaweed in it ?? if you mean that one..yes..I can make it. I will add it to my list and post it someday. thanks
Hey Aeri,
I’m thankful that I came across like a site like yours! Since I’m a Korean American, all the recipe are completely LEGIT! Food like my mom used to make >.<. I have one request, is there any special seasoning for Korean Pork BBQ (samggulsal)?
Hi, Justin
I’m very happy to meet you. I can’t beat your mom’s awesome Korean food, but as you said, you can get similar ones with your moms from my blog. So try some of recipes someday. hehe about your question… as you know, samgyupsal is … kind of… fresh bacon (not smoked or seasoned..) .. when we grill it… we don’t add any seasoning… just after grill it.. you can wrap it with soy bean paste (mixed with other seasoning.. like some red pepper paste, garlic, green onion, sesame oil ..and sesame seeds) called “ssamjang”. Someday I will show you how to make it. okay ? Hope to see you again~~
